Sazo rues lack of quality education in Nagaland

Chetheba Town Student's Union session held   Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The Advisor, Social Welfare Dr. Chotisuh Sazo today lamented the lack quality education in Nagaland and attributed it to the existence of rampant educated unemployed in the state.   He was addressing the 28th general session of Chetheba Town Student's Union held at Town Hall, Chetheba on December 30 with the theme, "Call For Change."  

While dwelling on the issue of educated students, Sazo said that many a times, the Nagas lack humility when get a degree and urged for changing mentality and look for dignity of labour.   He called upon the students not the seek government job alone but also look for alternative in what they can do and start earning a livelihood thereafter.  

The Advisor also noted that change should begin at home through the family members, and the society will benefit from it.   Further acknowledging school goers and maintaining that still have a bright future, he called upon to work hard. “You are the leader of the nation for tomorrow,” said Sazo.  

In concluding note he said there is only one shortcut to success and that is to follow Jesus quoted Mathew 6: 33 "But Seek ye the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you."  

Mezahu Medeo, vice chairman Chetheba in his short address called upon the youths to set examples and lead the way for the younger generation for knowledge.  

He lamented that compulsory education at the present has lacked quality education and said a lot of student have graduated but they are still unable to get a job.  

Medeo also called upon the students to seek for knowledge and work hard in order to find a way to guide in their life. Vevoto Tetseo, president CTSU in his presidential address said call for change is the primary need for every society to exist and compete with it's contemporary.  

He impressed upon on the gathering to continue to uphold each other and harmoniously usher the society for the best interest of the people.   The new office bearers were elected for the tenure 2018-20 with Zuvekhoyi Phesao as the president and Sekhozo Rhakho as general secretary.  

The student of the year was awarded to Nuvekho Rhakho, Class 9, Chokri Baptist school, Chetheba.
