DIMAPUR SEPT 26 (MExN): The State Bank of India (Regional Office), Dimapur stated that the bank has provided Core Banking System (CBS) services to its customers with its migration on September 25. It mentioned that this has fulfilled a long standing demand of individual customers, Government departments, traders and offices.
“This is the biggest branch in Nagaland, which will be providing the core banking facility to the customer” stated Deputy General Manager who also added “Now the customers have become Bank customer and can transact their business from any Core Banking branch of SBI, not only in India but in any of its 54 foreign offices also”.
The SBI informed that the bank has now 6 CBS branches, 3 each in Kohima and Dimapur. They further informed that Dimapur branch has recently started foreign exchange business as 2nd branch after Kohima and has provided ‘Real Time Gross Settlement’ (RTGS), Internet banking, International Debit Card facility to its customers.
It also mentioned that for the convenience of foreign business and other travelers, SBI’s Kohima branch will provide ‘Foreign Travel Card’ facility in four foreign currencies at the most competitive prices and the SBI is also planning to install more ATMs at Dimapur and Kohima, Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto and other places.
