SCC observes literary & fine arts day

Tuensang, November 20 (MExN): Sao Chang College (SCC), Tuensang conducted literary and fine arts day under the initiative of Literary and Fine Arts Committee of the College on November 20.

Convenor, Media Cell, SCC in a press release stated that Dr A Nshoga, Principal SCC stressed on the importance of literary activities for the students and urged to develop various co-curricular skills in the area of poetry writing, essay writing, paragraph writing, singing, extempore speech and debate. He said that participating in such activities will help the students to build confidence to face the world outside the classrooms. Apart from the regular academic knowledge, students must be active in such events during their stay in the college because education means to develop all round personality development of the students’ life, the Principal added.

Dr S Arenla, Member, Literary Committee chaired the programme and Chubasangla Chang, Literary and Cultural Secretary, SCCSU moderated the session. During the day, debate competition, solo and duet singing competition, poetry and original short story writing and painting competitions were conducted.
