SCHE hosts ‘Yar animation’

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): The Salesian College of Higher Education (SCHE) hosted “Young at Risk (YaR) Animation,” in its Paul Bernick Auditorium on August 31. 


The programme was attended by around 50 residential participants, informed a press release issued by Fr. Christudoss A,Youth Director and Media wing ,SCHE. It stated that the Don Bosco National YAR team, Frs. Koshy Thomas SDB, Tony Pellissery sdb and Thomas Aquainas SDB from New Delhi came to Dimapur for the said programme. 


The topics of the programme were: What is Young at Risk; How did it start in India in early 1906; It terminologies and events; the present condition of YAR and the decoding now of YAR and the conclusion. There were also quite a few sessions of question hour and the clarification over the terms and events of YAR which was actively participated by the students, the release added.


It also stated that the students largely acknowledged that Dimapur has “YAR factors” through school dropouts, drug addicts and substance abuse, commercial sex workers, migrants and street children etc.


The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Fr. Christudoss A, Youth Director and Provincial YAR member of the salesian province of Dimapur.
