School leadership development programme held

Kohima, June 10 (MExN): A one-day school leadership development programme for headmasters of Government Secondary Schools, Nagaland was held on June 7 at the State Institute of Educational Management and Training (SIEMAT), SCERT, Kohima.  

Funded by RMSA Nagaland, a total of 61 headmasters were invited for the training, Khrietuo Mezhür, Director, SCERT, Nagaland informed in a press release.  

Courses on understanding school leadership, prioritizing work as a school head, building a culture of innovation in the school, understanding team and home-school partnership were covered during the training by resource persons from SIEMAT and SCERT, it said. 

The main objective of the school leadership development programme, the release added, is to improve the quality of education especially in Government schools through effective school leadership and management.
