The fifth day of the ongoing Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate- (Festival of Science & Technology) here at Science and Technology Complex was marked by series of science literature activities.
The event witnessed various competitions such as poster, slide, video, painting, poem, poetry recitation, and model presentation.
13 schools showcased their talents through various exhibits and presentation.
Science and Maths Model presentation was demonstrated by seven schools on the topic “Science and Technology in Nagaland.”
A model on “Trigonometry Scale” by Model Higher Secondary School, “Waste is wealth” by Christ King Higher Secondary School, “DNA Model” by Mt. Sinai Higher Secondary School, “Smart Cultivation” by Fernwood Higher Secondary School, “Gravity Generator” by Minister’s Hill Higher Secondary School, “Hydraulic Crane” by Bethel Higher Secondary School and “Drip irrigation” by Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
The participants demonstrated how various technologies can help in developing agriculture sector such as drip irrigation, smart cultivation by using clean energy for sustainable development.
Other models demonstrated the use of science in our daily activities and how it can also help in management of waste in our environment.
Meanwhile, Day six (February 27) event will be held under the theme “Looking ahead- Science and technology roadmap for next 25 years” with Dr Somnath Goshal, Professor, IIT Kharagpur as the resource person.
He will deliver talk through online mode.
