Scouts & Guides bring ‘World Thinking Day’ to Nagaland

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The Nagaland State Headquarter Bharat Scouts & Guides and the Kohima District Bharat Scouts & Guides observed World Thinking Day with the rest of the World on February 22 at the State Headquarters Conference Hall, Bayavü Hills Kohima. Khyomo Lotha ex MP State Chief Commissioner was the chief guest.

The programme was chaired by Achong Hq Commr (Guides), invocation prayer was pronounced by Thepfusatuo District Organizing Commissioner (Scouts) Kohima, significance of the day was delivered by Om Prakash Gupta Hq Commr (Cubs) and a special item were presented by St. Joseph School Guides Company Kohima.

He stressed upon the needs to think beyond our physical and personal securities, and urge the individuals to have a security with God who can provide us anything anytime anywhere.

He said that Bharat Scouts and Guides Association is the only movement in India recognized by the World Organization of Scouts Movement (WOSM) and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). He challenged the Scouts and Guides to think more than normal i.e., to think actively and innovatively so that they can bring about many positive changes in the society, state as well as the Country.

State Training Commissioner (Scouts) Albert R. Solo also spoke on the occasion and emphasize on the meaning of the World Thinking Day. Imlisunep Scoutmaster Alpine Open Troop Kohima gave the Vote of Thanks to conclude the Programme.

Altogether 110 Scouts/Guides, Rovers/Rangers, District Officials, Adult Leaders and State Headquarter Officials from Baptist Hr. Sec. School Kohima, Mezhür Hr. Sec. School Kohima, Christ King Hr. Sec. School Kohima, Coraggio School Kohima, St. Joseph School Kohima, Alpine Open Troop Kohima and Kigwema Baptist Ranger Team attended the programme.
