Sechü Zubza Football Club launched

DIMAPUR, JULY 17 (MExN): The Sechü Zubza Football Club (SZFC), a club making its debut in the Kohima Football League, was formally launched on July 15 at the premises of Shalom Bible Seminary, Sechü Zubza.  

The program was graced by Viliehu Nguzhü, president of Angami Sports Association as the special guest. Roko Angami, president of Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) also graced the programme, among others. Viliehu Nguzhü expressed his happiness about the formation of the club and encouraged the club to create a sustainable platform which can help the football players. Roko Angami shared his experiences as a footballer and challenged the players to work hard to get success.  

The launching of the club also coincided with the introduction of the SZFC players and the unveiling and distribution of the jerseys. It may be mentioned that Sechü Zubza FC is one among the seven teams participating at the 2nd edition of the Kohima Football League (KFL) which is being organised by the Kohima Town Club (KTC).  

The KFL is scheduled to kick off on July 17 at Kohima local ground, with the first match to be played between Ziekezou SC and United 16 FC. Some of the prominent players who have signed for Sechü Zubza FC for this season are Kekhrieletuo Tsira, Kechi Kulim, Laloureiyang Aloumai Panmei, Khiuwangbo Awang Kaurintah, Shürhosül Zhotso, Hanglen Chang, Kevisalie Sechü and Rajusituo Nagi. The team is led by Neidilhoutuo Sechü as the manager and Zakietuolie Khrodi as chief coach.  

The club's launching programme was also attended by public leaders from Sechü Zubza and neighbouring villages, football lovers from far and near. On the day, the SZFC also handed out an acknowledgement certificate to one of its member Visakholie Medoze for his contribution to football. Medoze, a former player of Naga Boys Club, has also captained the Nagaland senior team during his days as a footballer. Meanwhile, the SZFC has also extended its appreciation to Gayatri Projects Ltd for being the main sponsors of the club in this edition.
