KOHIMA, September 28 (NEPS): The Nagaland Civil Secretariat's ‘Pay & Use Toilet’ which was constructed by PHED Nagaland in commemoration of 50 Years of Nagaland Statehood and inaugurated just 2 years ago by Chief Secretary CJ Ponraj now remains under lock.
The huge ‘Pay & Use Toilet’ was constructed at the sprawling greenery next to the parking lot. The other day, a group of media persons went to use this Civil Secretariat's "Pay & Use Toilet" facilities but to their utter surprise, it was found under lock with seemingly no one to take care. The surrounding areas also appear to have been left untouched for months as a thriving vegetation of grass and bushes have come up.
With hundreds visiting the Civil Secretariat daily, many have faced difficulties in finding such facilities outside the Secretariat. The many visitors also complained about the Government’s failure to pay attention to the issue. They suggest that the Government consider handing over the ‘Pay & Use Toilet’ to some private party if they have problems managing it.
