One of the suspects was detained by a combined team of Imphal East police commandos and troops of 15 Assam Rifles during a search operation at Kangla Sangomshang under Porompat police station on Monday morning. The suspect has been handed over to the concerned police station for further investigation, the source also said.

Besides conducting house to house search, the security forces also verified around 300 people of ages ranging from 15 to 60 by parading them at a public ground of the locality
