Wokha, February 13 (MExN): The Assam Rifles (R) in a joint operation with Police apprehended two NSCN (IM) cadres in general area Sanis Town, Wokha on February 13.
Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles along with Police representative launched an operation and apprehended two NSCN (IM) cadres, a press release from the AR informed on Saturday. Three 12 Bore Rifle, 28 rounds of live ammunition of 12 Bore, 169 Spasma Proxivan capsules worth Rs 3000, 171 Narcotic Drug M152 capsules worth Rs 20,000, three injections of Dexamethazone worth Rs 7,200, 23 bottles of Rum MC-Dowell and 75 cans of Kingfisher beer (approx Rs 30,000), one safety fuse of mil grade (250cm long) and Rs 2.28 lakh of extortion money in cash was recovered from them, the release stated. The apprehended individuals along with the recovered items have been handed over to Bhandari Police Station, Wokha for further investigation, it added.
