Mon, August 19 (MExN): A seminar on ‘sustainable approach for doubling of farmer’s income under changing climate scenario’ for farm women of Ngangching and surrounding villages was held on August 18 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) conference hall, Aboi.
Held with an aim to enhance adaptive capacity and skill up-gradation of the farming community, the seminar was organized by KVK Aboi under National Innovations Climate Resilient in Agriculture-Technology Demonstration Component (NICRA-TDC), informed a press release from Dr Paihem Michui, ACTO (Animal Science), KVK, Mon.
Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Dr MS Sachan and Dr Paihem Michui presented on various aspects of climate change and its impacts, disaster management, natural resource management with regard to cropping system and livestock production, strategies for adaptation and resource conservation technologies, the release added.
Altogether, 72 farm women from different organizations attended the seminar.
