Senapati economic blockade called off

Newmai News Network Senapati | October 6   The Contract Basis Appointed Teachers Association (CBATA) 2011 Autonomous District Council (ADC) Senapati has decided to call off its indefinite economic blockade from midnight of October 6. This decision came after a consultation with the parents and guardians in its joint meeting held yesterday.   The CBATA 2011 Senapati sponsored indefinite economic blockade along Imphal-Dimapur and Imphal-Jiri road began from midnight of September 26 against the alleged non-payment of salaries and non regularization of their posts.   The CBATA 2011 Senapati, however, warned of resuming the agitation jointly with parents and guardians if the state government continues to ignore its demand.   The association also expressed its discontentment over the alleged indifferent attitude of the transport association during the blockade and warned of severe action in future. Meanwhile, the association extended its sincere gratitude to the Senapati district based social organizations including the Naga People's Organisation (NPO), Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) and Senapati District Women Association (SDWA) for having lent their supports and concerns towards the cause of the CBATA while conveying its gratitude to the public for their supports during the blockade.
