Suruhuto, January 9 (MExN): Nagaland Advisor for Tourism, Art and Culture H Khehovi Yepthomi advised the youth to share constructive ideas and opinions instead of expressing discontentment and insulting leaders in the society.

Addressing the 7th Youth Triennial Conference held at Medical Colony, Suruhuto recently, the Advisor noted that the younger generation is ‘misled’ by smart phones and spend too much time expressing their discontentment and insulting their leaders instead of sharing their constructive ideas and opinions for the upliftment of our society. Khehovi said youngsters should learn to respect their elders and leaders and pray for their long lives as it is through them that young people get to know the story of their clans, communities, village history etc, according to a press release on Sunday.

Stating that no one is perfect, Khehovi also opined that people should appreciate and look for the good in each other and propagate what will be constructive for the society.

He said that youth conferences where thousands gather to discuss on various topics are good opportunities to share what they have experiences. However, he lamented that most people do not implement what is heard and learned.

Meanwhile, Khehovi lauded the Suruhuto Medical Colony for hosting such a big youth conference saying that they have shown an exemplary Christian life and that nothing is impossible if one looks to God and strive for what they wish to do. Expressing happiness to witness the youths at the conference, he also hoped that they would benefit through the conference.
