Dimapur, January 14 (MExN): In response to the call by ‘various Naga national bodies,’ civil bodies and the Church, for Naga “unification,” the “GPRN/NSCN” has issued a pronouncement that it “stand to safeguard and unite the Nagas on the basis of our historical and political rights, and thereby to strengthen the political process through peaceful means”.
“This pronouncement is made, despite our human limitations, to dispel any misgivings in the minds of the Nagas and thereby set the record straight”, stated a press note issued by its publicity cell while also clarifying once and for all that, despite allegations of recent kidnapping for ransom being blamed on them, they testify before God and the Nagas that “Nagaland for Christ is the guiding faith of the on going Naga unification efforts” thus, the question of criminalization of the process do not arise and we condemn the acts”.
