Simon Cowell donates funds to young cancer patient

Source: Contactmusic   Three-year-old Kian Musgrove has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time and the music mogul recently made the donation and volunteered to cover the costs of the youngster's flights from the U.K. to America, where Musgrove receives treatment. "I can't believe it, I have tears streaming down my face," Musgrove's mum Kat says. "He just called up and said he wanted to help and said he would drop £25,000 into our fundraising account. I'm still trying to get my head around it all. He was so nice and kind and just said he wanted to do something to help."

  Cowell, who is a father to two-year-old son Eric, made the donation after hearing about Kian's plight online. He is also raising awareness on his Twitter.com page writing, "ian Musgrove is a truly brave young boy. I have just spoken to his mum." "Let's help get him to NYC (New York City) for the life-saving treatment he needs. #CaringForKian #GetKianToSimon." Kat is hoping to raise $700,000 (£500,000) to fund Kian's treatments. According to reports, she is currently at the $560,000 (£400,000) mark.
