I remember writing an article on the Medical Portfolio being jinxed and that Medical Ministers never returned as an MLA except for once when the NGO’s and the dominant faction had boycotted the elections and since only the Congress filed their nomination, they were all elected un-contested. But as I was having a discussion with some friends, who were also good believers in the Lord, I realized something, which I am sure was a word of knowledge from the Lord almighty, where He made me see and reveal the truth on certain issues through a friendly informal discussion with other believers. The point that hit me hard was that being a contractor or supplier in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, they too had an effect of this curse. Why I say this is because I too was a contractor & supplier in the Medical Department, for the Minister holding the portfolio was a very close relative (through marriage). Hence when I speak and write about the contractors and suppliers, I also take myself as a part of it, and why I had decided to highlight this fact is because there was no one to warn me at that time, therefore now it is my duty as a believer to warn the contractors and suppliers and if they take heed, it is good, but if they don’t, it is their conscience not mine, for I have done my part.
Being a Contractor & a Supplier in the Medical Department is very dicey, for the funds are meant for the sick and the poor. It is also for those who have no money to buy medicines and get proper medical treatment and free medicines, thus if the supplier is not an honest one, the curse does come upon him or her, as a punishment from our God Almighty. Initially the Contractor or Suppliers become very reach and well off, but as the years follow, all the money is somehow drained out and everything the business man does and also in whatever other business he ventures into usually fails and slowly the person is completely destroyed, thus not only effecting the Business man but his whole family. Some Contractors & Suppliers also get into debt and have to vacate even his own house to money lenders. As I said earlier initially I became rather prosperous and this went to my head and I forgot all about who had made me come up in life.
Forgetting God was my greatest mistake, for not only did the curse come upon me, it completely destroyed me financially which is usually the cause for Physical destruction, plus it is my wife and child who suffered. Everything I tried my hands in, in the beginning there was a lot of hope for success, but, somehow or the other at the last stage it always failed. This is very depressing, I tell you. Thus, I went through a phase of one failure after the other; till I decided to sit back and ask to myself in what way I had annoyed the Lord Almighty. Before this, I was the person with the Midas touch, for everything I did or ventured into, turned to Gold i.e. prosperity and bloom, therefore something was wrong. It started by my relative losing the General elections, although the favor was surely and clearly on our side. But as everyone knows, this time the elections were rather one sided and all the vehicles and leaders were kidnapped, thus making the Candidate and his party workers helpless. It was a time of deep hatred for certain organizations, but one soon got over it and after seeing that the ruling party and its dynamic leader operate and their objectives and promises being fulfilled it was in a way a good healer. Although some got over it at an earlier stage, some did not and sadly, there are still some people who continue to hate and the aura of depression and sadness are still hovering above them. But as I said earlier, it is their conscience and their relation with God Almighty. The most terrifying thing was mismanaging and siphoning of funds sent for the treatment of HIV patients. The money had been diverted through certain loopholes, where one could make up a scheme worth a few lakhs on holding seminars and workshops on AIDS awareness. Although nothing of this sort took place, money was still allotted and thus going into certain pockets. Imagine how many sufferers of this incurable illness must have died, due to the medicines not reaching them on time? Surely the Lord would not be pleased. Therefore all the misfortune that followed, was their own doing, and not the fault of any one. How I wish there was someone to point this out to me when I was doing Contract and Supply works in the Medical Department. I would have checked myself there and then but due to my ignorance I went through a rough phase, but it has matured me and made me see things and revealed certain insights which I had completely ignored earlier.
I was in a way blessed, for I never dealt in medicine supply, for at one stage suppliers would supply medicines which were tampered with. By tampering I mean that medicine suppliers had good links with pharmaceutical companies, who had two types of the same drug. One was at par with the mg written on the cover and the other was diluted and mixed, thus having hardly 50% of its actual dosage. These medicines were far cheaper, thus suppliers usually supplied the diluted medicines to the department, where the Controller or the Store keeper would vouch for its authenticity, for a certain percentage as their share of the booty. Therefore knowing this, till today I prefer sample medicines, which are given to doctors and pharmacies. Maybe the trend has changed and the department is much stricter in checking all these medicines supplied to the Department, but my psyche will never accept the fact that the medicine is genuine. There was a documentary on this a few months back, done by BBC Correspondents, who worked undercover and portrayed themselves as medicine Suppliers. The hidden cameras and the voice receivers proved the fact that there were certain Pharmaceutical Companies who dealt in these types of medicines, and would dilute the medicines on the demand of the suppliers. The documentary also proved that India was leading in this type of shoddy business and the companies were rather very easy to approach. For them (Pharmaceutical Companies) they will never have a conscience for they are not believers like us, so they are in a way excused, but what about Suppliers from Nagaland being hand in glove with these sort of business? Will they ever be convicted or realize that what they are doing is worse then literally stabbing a person to death? Will they not face the wrath of God Almighty until they repent? As believers in Jesus Christ, we all have our good and positive side, but there is always a bad, negative side too. The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde sort of personality, but is it not our duty to be truthful? It is also our duty to point out certain issues, so that the person will realize their folly, before it is too late.
In conclusion, there are many was to earn a living, but one should be very careful in what sort of dealing one is involved in. My father was the owner of the first Bonded warehouse in Nagaland, but when he was miraculously healed of an incurable sickness by prayer, he dedicated his life in serving God. Thus the biggest dilemma he went through was whether he should carry on with the Bonded warehouse, for Nagas being Guzzlers, the income was beyond good. But while in a prayer meeting my mother was shown a vision on how many souls that had been lost to the devil due to the Bonded Warehouse. Hence there were no regrets when he ultimately gave up his Bonded warehouse, for now his conscience was clear. Therefore why I take this as an example is that we need to be rather careful on the sort of business we are venturing into, and always pray that the Holy Spirit guide us, for who else can be a much better Counselor and Judge of our lives? Therefore, do not make the same mistake I did and always stay clear from the businesses which usually becomes our cross and our curse I can now sit back and relax and with a clear and clean conscience for I have done my part. Hence whether one takes heed or not, it is not my look out but it is their soul and life. If by any chance you have a party to all these dirty dealings, break the curse before it completely destroys you and you family, who have no connection to such dealings.
