SIR in Nagaland: EF distribution rises to 38.1%, digitisation at 3.15%

The distribution of Enumeration Forms (EFs) under Nagaland’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has risen to 38.1% of the State’s 13,57,208 electors, according to the latest status report of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, as of 8 pm on August 21.

A total of 5,17,126 EFs had been distributed, while 42,791 forms, or 3.15%, had been digitised. Another 302 EFs had been submitted online by electors.

The figures mark a significant increase from the previous status report on August 20, when 3,45,233 forms, covering 25.44% of electors, had been distributed and 22,626 or 1.67%, digitised.

District-wise, Longleng reported the highest distribution at 99.2%, followed by Meluri (57.4%) and Pughoboto (50.64%), while Shamator (7.89%), Noklak (19.9%) and Mon (21.5%) remained among the lowest.

The statewide house-to-house distribution and collection exercise is scheduled to continue till September 14.
