Six students’ unions support ENSF move to restrain from DoSE exam for Maths and Science teachers

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 20 (MExN): The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Yimchungru Akheru Arihako (YAA), United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) and Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU) today extended support to the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation’s (ENSF) move to restrain from the Department of School Education’s (DoSE) departmental exam for Math and Science teachers.

A joint statement from the six student bodies informed that they held an emergency meeting in Kohima and “unanimously resolved to support the genuine and rightful demand of the federation.”

“The house also expressed its dismay towards the department for taking the appeals of the federation for granted and thus the six federating units of the federation will stand with the federation till the justice has been delivered,” it added.

The six federating units also asked the Government of Nagaland to immediately address the matter in the interest of the six ‘backward tribes’ of Eastern Nagaland as per the Government Notification. Since the demand of the federation is not beyond the notification, we felt that it is an obligation that the government should uphold the notification, they added.

The house further resolved to direct all the aspirants to comply with the directive of the federation.
