Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Research Committee of St John College (SJC), Dimapur organised a self-sponsored one-day national conference on the topic, “Challenges to Sustainable Development in North -East India” on April 29.
Kekuneil, Scientist B of Nagaland Science & Technology, Kohima, who was the keynote speaker and special guest, emphasised on the scientific approaches to a sustainable development in Nagaland.
In the two-technical sessions, around 30 participants also presented their research findings.
Gracing the valedictory session, Jason Sanglir, currently during his Masters at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, also gave an insight into his experiences as a sustainable development student in Thailand.
Earlier the conference commenced with an Inaugural session with a welcome address by Prof ST Janetius, Principal SJC and ended with vote of thanks from Dr Toshinungla Ao, Asst. Professor, Deparment of Botany, SJC.
The conference was attended by academicians, and intellectuals from around the state, informed an SJC press release.
