Dimapur, March 14 (MExN): St Joseph University, Department of Education conducted an awareness programme on coronavirus (COVID-19) on March 13. The programme was facilitated by the Development of Association of Nagaland. Resource persons for the programme were Dr Sentitoshi Aier, Medicus Clinic and Diagnostic Laboratory and Dr Rosemary Yanthan, Referral Hospital, Dimapur.
The resource persons gave power point presentations on the symptoms of the virus, said a press release from Fr Savari.
They encouraged all the students to take home the information to families and friends for spreading awareness; to stay aware and be informed, be calm and have clear mind, not to panic and to be mindful of the do’s and don’ts. While stating that there was still no cure for the virus, the resource persons advised the students that precaution is the best possible way to keep oneself protected from the disease. The presentation ended with a demonstration on six important steps of hand washing.
