SKK observes Sumi Patriots Day

Zunheboto, August 6 (MExN): The Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) observed Sumi Patriots day on August 4 at Zunheboto Town.  

SKK President Atokiho Sumi and General Secretary Hutoshe Kits in a press release stated that the day is observed in commemoration of those Sumis who undertake hardship struggles till their last breath, sacrificing their life for the cause of Nagas freedom movement, and it also observed in commemoration and to mark the 50th Death Anniversary of Late General Kaito Sukhai, First Commander-in-Chief, Naga Army, the youngest general in the world.  

The programme had a mammoth gathering from different Sumi civil societies, organisations and students. The programme was chaired by Ninoto Awomi, Tribunal General SKK, keynote address by Atokiho Sumi, President SKK, solidarity speech by Sumi Hoho, speech on the recollection of past observation by Dr. H.S. Rotokha Former President Sumi Hoho.  

Nagatoli Yepthomi and Lashika Zhimomi delivered speech on behalf of Patriots family and the SKK Anthem was sung by Immanuel Hr. Sec. School, Zunheboto.
