Conference held for Razeba range teachers
Phek, September 10 (MExN): With the theme ‘Social transformation through education,’ SCERT, Nagaland in collaboration with Village Education Committee, Razeba organised Razeba Range Teachers’ Conference for the government as well as private school teachers on September 9 at St. John School Razeba. Dr. Zavise Rume, Associate Professor and Thebi Joseph, Assistant Professor of SCERT, Nagaland were the resource persons.
Deo Nukhu, Advisor, Higher Education & NBHM, Government of Nagaland, who was the guest of honour, encouraged the teachers to be agents of change and impart education through practical experience.
A press release from Rev. Fr. James Sangtam informed that Dr. Zavise Rume dealt with topics such as Innovative Teaching and Joyful Learning and Professional Code of Ethics for Teachers, while Thebi Joseph Shupao covered the topics - Improving Teacher’s Morale with Team Building and Classroom Management. The resource persons emphasized the need to make teaching a joyful experience and encouraged the participants to rededicate their teaching profession to be more effective teachers, the release added.
At the end of the conference, the participants voluntarily took an oath of commitment to be sincere and dedicated teachers. About 100 teachers of government and private schools in Razeba Range participated in the conference.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by P. Paul Dukru, Chairman of Village Education Committee, Razeba and vote of thanks was proposed by Boni Zholia, Asst. Head Master, Government High School.
