Kohima, February 19 (MExN): Following the decision to re-open the campuses and permit holding of regular classes in all the universities, colleges and technical institutions functioning in Nagaland with effect from February 24, Nagaland Chief Secretary (CS) J Alam on February 19, issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the same.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a need for taking measures for preventing and containing the spread of COVID-19 on the re-opening of the Universities, Colleges and Technical Institutions for the safety of the students, faculty members, and all others concerned, the notice stated. In this regard, the CS in exercise of the powers, conferred under Section 22 (2) (b) and Section 22 (2) (h) of the Disaster Management Act 2005, in the capacity of Chairperson, State Executive Committee, issued the SOPs on Friday.
