Members of SpeakGuru Foundation pose with NHAK officials during the handing over of oxygen concentrators on May 31.
KOHIMA, June 4 (MExN): In its bit to help Nagaland fight against COVID-19, the SpeakGuru (SG) Foundation has donated a total of 5 oxygen concentrators. Out of these, 3 were given to the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK), 1 to TB Hospital, Khuzama and 1 reserved for SG Foundation Family.
According to a press release from the Foundation, 3 oxygen concentrators were handed over to NHAK on May 31, by some of its members. Kenei Kuotsu, Founder of SpeakGuru Foundation felt that oxygen is the need of the hour and that more should be done in this area. “We want to contribute and help in whatever capacity we can,” he said, while adding, “I am sure many are in a better position to help but maybe they do not know how to extend that help.”
Encouraging people to take action as well, he stated that so much more can be done for those in need including those who live from hand to mouth and have especially been affected by the lockdown.
As for the donation, he gave credit to his wife for giving him ideas and helping him mobilize funds to procure the oxygen concentrators. Donations for 3 units, he informed, were mainly from friends and well-wishers in the United States of America and 2 units from Swasti, an organization that works with marginalized communities in India by ensuring their access to quality healthcare.
