The Salesian Provincial, Shillong Province, Fr Paul Olphindro Lyngkot has informed that there will be a concelebrated Holy Eucharist as soon as the mortal remains of Most Reverend Dominic Jala arrives in Mawlai Parish.
It can be noted here that "Archbishop Dominic Jala of Shillong and Father Mathew Vellankal, a 58-year old Indian priest of the Diocese of Oakland, died in a traffic accident on October 10 in California, in the United States".
Meanwhile, the Salesian Provincial said, “The Church bells of Mawlai parish will be rung as soon as the convoy accompanying the mortal remains of Archbishop Dominic Jala leaves Umsning parish."
He has also invited all Salesians, priests, religious men and women and the faithful to attend the Requiem Mass.
