Nagaland’s minister for youth resources & sports Merentoshi R. Jamir today assured that the state government is there to support the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in every possible manner.

"Therefore I believe that NCC is a stepping stone in disciplining yourself and also in respecting our responsibilities and our duties and automatically when you are disciplined and when you are ready to accept authority and duty then unity comes.”
Jamir was of the view that “Unity & Discipline” should not only be the motto for the NCC, but for all the young people of all organization of the country belonging to this generation.
Stating that he was also NCC cadet some 15 years ago, he declared that NCC had moulded him for which he will be ever grateful to NCC and it will remain a special place in his heart.
