Dimapur, January 7 (MExN): The Special National Integration Camp (SNIC), North Eastern Region (NER) got underway on January 4 at Patkai Christian College, Chumukedima.
Brig. SS Dhankhar, Commander, NCC Group, HQ Kohima, inaugurated the camp which has altogether 600 cadets of National Cadets Corps (NCC) from 17 Directorates across the Country including 110 cadets from North Eastern Region. 18 Associated NCC Officers and 52 permanent instructional staff of all states and Union Territories are also attending the integration camp.
Brig Dhankhar in his inaugural speech, emphasised that the message of national spirit and unity will be demonstrated through organized games and sports, debates, lectures and cultural programes being performed by the cadets.
Minister for Youth Resources and Sports is expected to address the cadets on January 12.
