KOHIMA, JANUARY 12 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education has informed that it will be organizing a special vaccination drive for students in the age group 15-18 in each district at selected Government Higher Secondary Schools beginning January 13.
A notification from the directorate advised all parents to get their children in the specified age group vaccinated against COVID-19 at the nearest special vaccination centre free of cost.
Heads of schools (all boards, government and private) have been directed to disseminate this information to parents of all eligible students in their schools through school whatsapp groups and other communication channels.
It meanwhile directed the heads of the designated special vaccination centres to extend necessary logistic support and cooperation to the officials of the Health Department for organizing the vaccination drive.
