NTBBA participate at XXV NorthEast Games

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): Nagaland Taekwondo Black Belt Association (NTBBA) has congratulated all medalist and the participants of the XXV North East Games including state coach and Nagaland team manager Visabiu Peseyie, team official and referee Theja Keretsü. NTBBA in a press note issued by its secretary general Asou Ndang has also congratulated the eight participants and also the six players who won medals viz. under 54 kgs James Tikhir Bronze medal, under 58 kgs Francis Tikhir bronze, under 63 kgs Bokti Tikhir silver medal, under 74 kgs Albert Lotha Bronze, under 80 kgs Zajamo Yanthan, under 87 kgs Seyievilie Nakhro gold medal.  It also congratulated Bikash under 68 kgs and Suresh under 87 kgs for participating in the tournament.

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The Phek District Cricket Association (PDCA) has informed that the raffle draw which was scheduled to be declared on May 10 is postponed to June 21, 2011. 

Nagaland U-16 girls’ football team prepare for exhibition games

Indira Gandhi Sports Academy (IGSA), under the aegis of Department of Youth Resources will be organizing exhibition games for the state’s under-16 (girls) football team at the end of this month. The matches will be against Assam and Manipur. DSO Kohima & IG Stadium Administrator, Teisobou Sekhose briefing media persons today at the IG Stadium said that Manipur has already confirmed their participation, while response from the Assam team is awaited. The tentative dates are May 27 and 28. And it will be hosted at the Kohima local ground.  
Sekhose recalled that the girls’ Under-16 team had emerged runners-up at the National School Games 2009 held at Goa.  The team had also participated last year in Nainital though the result was not satisfying, he added. Coaches Ropfu, Aba and Keviliebei are thoroughly training the team and are positive the girls will do well, as they are observed to be comparatively improving. Nominal entrance fee will be charged on the match days. 

Faith in Action to take mega audition for reality show

Dimapur, May 18 (MExN):
The Faith in Action Team, the winner of Sony Television Reality Show “Entertainment Ke Liye Aur Bhi Kuch Karega” 2009 from Dimapur, Nagaland was selected in the First audition of India’s Got Talent Season-3  at  Guwahati  Audition on May 15. The Team will leave for Mega audition in June next to Kolkata.
In this regard the President of Faith in Action Akavi Zhimomi and the team members of Faith in Action Foundation has thanked Phukuto Zhimomi, Advisor of Dimapur Municipal Council who is also the advisor of Faith in Action Foundation for helping financially towards the team to participate in the India’s biggest talent reality show at Guwahati, Assam.
