DIMAPUR, MARCH 9 (MExN): The curtain call of the Spring Festival at NEZCC complex on Sunday evening witnessed a confluence of culture of all regions of the country lending credence to catchword “unity in diversity” that is India.

The evening was marked by scintillating performances by cultural troupes from all the seven cultural zones including participants from the North eastern region representing North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC).

Though the turnout was moderate, the cultural troupes comprising mostly of teen artistes captivated the audience with a medley of cultural performances till the end.
Earlier, NEZCC director, Lipokmar Tzudir, in his address said the Spring Festival was a “huge success” considering the fact that so many young talents had the opportunity to perform and participate in the festival.

The NEZCC director said that these young artistes would carry forward the “timeless and rich cultural heritage we have inherited.”

“It has been a privilege and responsibility to groom them and hand them over the responsibility to carry forward our prestige and honour. I wish to remind the youth of the Region (North East) that we have heeded to the call that the ‘future is yours’,” Tzudir said. “The future had dawned, it has started. Awake now and stake your claim in the overall understanding of this great nation’s cultural heritage.”

The NEZCC director also thanked artistes from other cultural zone centres for making the festival more vibrant and colourful with their participation. He further thanked the staff of NEZCC for their commitment and dedication in making the Spring Festival a success.
