St John College signs MoU with YouthNet

Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): St John College, Dimapur and YouthNet signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) setting out a framework for future collaboration and provision of skill based training to students of the college.

“The skills required to be successful in a modern workplace go beyond the scope of prescribed classroom curricula. We are excited to work with YouthNet to ensure that our students have the foundational skills required to thrive and succeed whatever path they take,” Prof. S. T. Janetius, Principal St John College stated in a press release.

These sentiments were backed up by the college management who expressed excitement at the prospect of forming a close relationship with YouthNet for the betterment of their students, the release added.

The training and placement agency ‘Nagaland Job Centre’, forming part of YouthNet, mentioned that linking education to employment was a starting tool to bridge the gap between college students and helping them polish their life skills. Their programmes focus on positive attitude, professionalism at the work place, communication in the new world, internship opportunities, and job placements.

The College also added that it is committed to delivering active learning in a vibrant Christian atmosphere, and enabling students to develop knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their long-term goals.
