
Wokha, August 28 (MExN): St Paul’s Catholic Church, Wokha observed Bible Sunday at the Parish Church with Eucharistic celebration led by Rev Fr AD Jose on August 25.
Marking the importance of the Bible, Rev Fr Jose in his homily urged the congregation to accept the word of God and becoming part of it. He expressed sorrow on the abusive use of mobile phones for long hours and failing to read the word of God. He further encouraged the congregation to develop interest reading the bible everyday and willingly practising the teachings from the Bible.
The programme adjoined with the second session chaired by Assistant Catechist, Chopathung Kikon followed by a note of introductory from Catechist, Limhathung Patton. A note on the importance of Bible was delivered by J. Wolumi Humtsoe followed by a hymn from the hostellers. The event was enlightened by the Bible skit competition where Airfield, High School and NST were adjudged first, second and third respectively. The programme also witnessed a special number from Nlibemo and Sorenbeni Kikon.
