Miss Mokokchung 2025 will be held on July 22 at 6:00 PM at the Mokokchung Town Hall, marking a return of the district’s premier beauty pageant after a three-year hiatus. Organised by Forerunners Mokokchung, this year’s edition is aimed at empowering local talent and preparing contestants for state and national platforms.

At a press conference held at the Whispering Winds hotel Mokokchung, organisers shared that the event is being staged with renewed purpose and professionalism. “We are doing all we can to put up a very, very good show—unlike any others we’ve had in the past years,” said Aren Changkiri, emphasizing the team’s dedication to making the event a memorable one.

This year’s pageant will be graced by national-level personalities as judges including Chanchui Khayi (Femina Miss India Manipur) and Akshatha Das (Femina Miss India Kerala), who are in Mokokchung to support and encourage the contestants.

The show is being directed by acclaimed pageant producer Neitho Khamo, with grooming and choreography led by his wife. Speaking at the press conference, Khamo remarked, “Each and every one of them is a winner in our eyes. The show aims to promote talent, culture, and local artists, and we are doing our best to make it memorable.”

A total of 13 contestants will be competing in this edition of the pageant.

Traditionally held towards the end of the year, Miss Mokokchung has now been advanced to provide adequate time for the winner to receive grooming and mentorship ahead of the Miss Nagaland pageant. The winner will also undergo free training at Talent for Sight, a grooming institute run by Khamo and his wife in Kohima.

The competition will feature three main rounds: the ethnic introduction round, the designer cocktail round (with pieces by local designer Manen), and the evening gown round featuring creations by Meghalaya-based designer H.M., known for her pageant-focused couture.

A standout feature this year is the Tribute Runway, which will see the return of past Miss Mokokchung titleholders dating back to 1992.

The grand finale will also feature performances by well-known artists such as Moko Koza, Tiameren Aier, and groups like the Mokokchung Dance Community and Class of Music.

Tickets are available at Rs 300 for general seating and Rs 1,000 for VIP entry. Organisers have encouraged the public to attend in large numbers to support local talent and enjoy an evening of elegance, culture, and inspiration.
