Longleng, March 9 (MExN): In view of the forthcoming parliamentary election scheduled to be conducted on April 9 and for the smooth conduct of election, Deputy Commissioner & ARO, Longleng, K Libanthung Lotha has informed that a standing committee has been constituted with the following members: Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer - Chairman, Members - ADC & AERO (HQ), ADC & AERO (Tamlu), SDO(C) HQ /SDO Sadar, Superintendent of Police LLG, President PPC, LLG, President, Phom Student Conference LLG, Executive Secretary, Phom Baptist Church Association, President INC, NPF, BJP, NCP, JDU and other recognized political parties of LLG District, President, Phomla Hoichem, PA to DC, LLG, Head DB of DC's Office, LLG and AEO, LLG - Member Secretary
The committee will have meeting time to time for peaceful and smooth election process, therefore, the DC has asked all to remain in the station regularly as far as possible. The standing committee will maintain neutrality and impartiality towards any political party, he added. It shall be dissolved as soon the election process is over. The first meeting will be held on March 10, 3:00 PM in the conference room of DC Office, Longleng. All concerned have been requested to attend the meeting.
