State cadets bag gold medals at Thal Sainik Camp

Kohima Group NCC contingent participated in the Thal Sainik Camp held at Jorhat, Assam from August 16 to 25.

Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): An inter group competition of Thal Sainik Camp was held at Jorhat, Assam from August 16 to 25.
All eight groups of North East Region NCC participated in the ten-day event. Kohima Group NCC contingent comprising of 29 boys and 19 girls cadets also participated in the competition, where they stood runners up. 

Cadet Haicen of 24 Nagaland (I) Coy NCC and Corporal Puja Devi  from 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC bagged gold medals in firing competition in respective events.

Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) competition conducted by North East Region (NER) Directorate NCC every year is a true test of physical and mental stamina amongst NCC cadets, stated a press release.

Teams from all eight NCC groups of North East Directorate NCC participated in the competition. 22 Cadets from  the state have been selected for further training and forming part of NER Directorate NCC team which would participate in Inter Directorate Competition of Thal Sainik Camp to be held at New Delhi in September this year.
