The Indian Air Force is planning an “Airmen Recruitment Rally” in the month of May 2013 at Kohima. The Commanding Officer Wg Cdr GNV Vijay Anand and Staff of 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati met the state officials on March 22 and 23 to get formal approval of the state.
The state government has given formal approval to conduct Recruitment rally to Commanding Officer, according to E. Musavi, Lt Col, PRO (Defence).
Indian Air Force officials visited Indira Gandhi Stadium which has been chosen as the Recruitment Rally site. Lt. Col Musavi said the airmen recruitment rally is conducted to reach out to the youth from remote and underrepresented area to boost the intake from the State and to bring the recruitment opportunity at door step for the youth of Nagaland, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
