Weeklong State Level Faculty Development Programme was held at Dimapur Government College from November 7-13.

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): A weeklong State Level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) under the theme ‘Envisioning Learning Spectrum’ was held at Dimapur Government College (DGC) from November 7-13.
The programme was organised by NAAC Steering Committee and Research & Development Cell, Dimapur Government College (DGC) in collaboration with Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland in association with Bank of Baroda, Dimapur and supported by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), DGC.
The topics covered were Artificial Intelligence Tools in Teaching & Learning by Er Daniel Meren, Addl. Director, NIELIT, Dimapur; Entrepreneurship was taken up by Lezo Putsure, Founder CEO, Educentre School of Business, Dimapur and Dr I Wati Imchen, Principal, FAC, Mokokchung spoke on Career Progression in Higher Education.
Awareness of SWAYAM NPTEL was presented by Prof Shiv Shankar Das, Senior Manager, NPTEL & BS Program Office, IIT Madras; Professional Ethics and Accountability by Prof. Sanjay Sharma, Principal, DGC; Teaching Skills: Prof. Gyanendranath Tiwari, HoD, Teacher Education, Nagaland University and Dr. Quendarisa Kharbuli, Associate Professor, UGC–MMTTC, NEHU, Shillong dwelled on Teachers’ Contribution to MOOCs. Other topics included NEP-2020 FYUGP: Evaluation and Assessment by Prof. Dipak Sinha, Nodal Officer, NEP-2020, Nagaland University; Mental Health and Hygiene: Imlibenla Mongro, Clinical Psychologist, CIHSR, Dimapur and an alumna of DGC and Indian Research Information Network System by Dr. Abhishek Kumar, Scientist - E (CS), INFLIBNET, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The inaugural Programme was chaired by Sedevino Jakhalu, HoD, Political Science, DGC and welcome address was delivered by Dr Vinyuhu Lhoungu, Coordinator, IQAC. The FDP spanned ten sessions addressing professional and educational domains.
The valedictory programme was chaired by Moamongla Aier, Department of Political Science, DGC. Participants were awarded certificates and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Hare Krushna Parhi, Department of Education, DGC.
