Static Soil Testing Lab inaugurated in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, January 25 (MExN): Static Soil Testing Laboratory at District Soil Conservation Office, Zunheboto was inaugurated by S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland on January 25.

The laboratory has been established under the Soil Health Management scheme of NMSA, a centrally sponsored scheme (CSS), stated a press release by District Soil Conservation Officer, Zunheboto.

The minister in his speech stressed on the importance of soil and its resources for a productive and sustainable agriculture. He encouraged the department to judiciously operate the Laboratory and to render the best services to the farming community, who forms the backbone of our economy. The minister also toured the Laboratory and observed various equipments installed therein.

Earlier, the DSCO, Hetoho Y Swu welcomed the special guest and presented a technical report and background of the scheme. The Minister was accompanied by DC Zunheboto, Superintendent of Police Zunheboto and Head of Offices of Zunheboto.
