‘Stonites with Alobo Naga’ – A evening to remember at LFHSS

When the prolific and iconic contemporary musician from Nagaland, Alobo Naga rocked the stage at Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School on June 13, it was a concert to remember.

An evening filled with not only scintillating performances, but also fanfare, enlightenment and wholesome entertainment.

Entitled ‘Stonites with Alobo Naga,’ the exclusive solo concert meant for the students and staff of LFHSS was organized by the School Management led by Andrew Ahoto, Chairman and Ani Yepthomi, Director Jr. High.

As expected, Alobo enthralled the audience with some of his most popular numbers, including those from  Laughter & Tears, Road of Thousand Dreams, Kini-No.2 and his band’s single chartbuster video album, Painted Dreams.

To wrap up the eclectic evening, he belted out the one of his recent and most well-known Nagamese Songs based on dignity of labour ‘Mistry Gaana’ by dedicating it to the students.

However, it was not just music but food for thoughts to the jam packed to the audience, as the singer shared his life’s journey and struggles against the backdrop of a stereotypical society where people had a very low opinion about a career in music.

It was a constant up-hill task for him to reach the zenith of success wherein he had to face a lot of obstacles, but God was his constant support and guided his fate throughout, the prolific singer said.

Alobo further motivated the students by bringing home the fact that with God everything is possible and cited himself as the case in point.

“One can only achieve the unachievable only when one surrenders one’s hopes, dreams and aspirations to the Almighty God who has bigger plans and successes waiting to be unraveled at the opportune moment,” he exhorted them.

He further shared to the students that he started expressing his passion for music at the tender of 5 and by the age of 11-12 years he began performing his original composition. Alobo also presented his palm imprint and autograph on a specially designed poster as a memorabilia for the Stonites.

Earlier, the welcome address was presented by the Chairman of LFHSS, Andrew Ahoto and the felicitation of the guest artiste was done by Director Jr. High, Ani Yepthomi.
