Morung Express News Dimapur | August 26 A student of St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama died on the way back from Dzukou valley in a drowning incident on August 26. A 5th Semester student, the deceased, as per reports, was washed away around the Dzukou Point earlier today. She was identified as Imtiyala Jamir of Chungtia village in Mokokchung district. Her body was recovered by volunteers of the Southern Angami Youth Organisation. Further, as per an NSDMA official, a group of 10 trekkers were stranded in the valley following heavy rains, swelling the streams. Stating that the route to Dzukou has been cut by landslides affecting emergency response, the official informed rescue operations were on led by the State Disaster Response Force.
