As online classes get momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) in collaboration with E-Rebuild has started making desktop computers available to students at subsidized rates.

On June 24, around 10 students received the computers at a rate of Rs 7000 per set at Tenyimi Complex, Dimapur. The initiative has been called as Project Connect.

Features of the computer includes HCL brand of 15.6 inches LCD/LED monitor, 2GB RAM/160HDD/Intel/AMD processor along with mouse and keyboard.

Speaking at a brief function, President of TSUD, Rukewezo Wetsah said that the project was launched with the objective of assisting the economically weaker sections of the students during these difficult times. He said the Union would be receiving bookings and orders from Kohima, Mokokchung and Pfutsero and within Dimapur.

Proprietor of E-Rebuild, Wate Lasuh demonstrated how to set up different parts of the computer to the students.
