The Young Naga player departs for national training camp
Dimapur, July 28 (MExN): The Sumi Council Dimapur has felicitated Kivi Zhimomi on his recent achievement on being inducted to Indian National Football Team U-23.
Speaking at felicitation programme in Dimapur on 28 July, Sumi Council Dimapur Chairman, Kuhoi Zhimomi lauded Kivi for bringing another glory to Sumi community in particular and most importantly to the entire Nagas family.
Zhimomi said that there are numerous young talented Naga footballers and as such Nagas has a big potentially to produce many footballers like Kivi. “Sadly, due to the lack of support from the state and poor infrastructures the Nagas sports players could hardly able to are move out from the State,” he noted.
Zhimomi also challenged the young sports men and women not to lost hope in their talents but continue with dedication and remain enthusiastic in their respective games.
While acknowledging the young player, he further lauded him for being selected to play for Northeast United FC in Indian Super League for the period for three years.
Kivi has left for Delhi today to attend the national training camp scheduled from July 28-August 17, it was informed.
