Sumi Hoho issues fresh directives

Zunheboto, October 16 (MExN): Sumi Hoho and its frontal organizations have reiterated the Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu’s (SKK) ‘ultimatum’ issued on October 2 and resolved to urge the Zunheboto District Administration to “strictly implement the Government of Nagaland Home Department Notification No.CON/ILP-1/2011 dated 6th May 2011.” The organizations lifted the present ban on issue and renewal of Inner Line Permit (ILP) but the process will be subject to production of identity proof such as Aadhaar Card or Electoral Identity Card. A meeting of the organizations held on October 14 also reiterated that “henceforth, issue of Trade License and Driving License to non-locals be held up immediately till further norms are adopted by Hoho.” Further, Temporary Residential Certificate (T.R.C.) to “non-locals” be issued for a period of 3 months which may be renewed if found appropriate, they ordered. “After the expiry of one month ultimatum served i.e. November 2, 2017, SKK shall, with the assistance of District Administration, carry out intensive checking of illegal immigrants and ILP defaulters,” the organizations stated in a press note from Sumi Hoho General Secretary, I Nikheto Jimomi.
