GUWAHATI, July 12 (MExN): Hotel Gateway Grandeur, located at GS Road, Guwahati, successfully hosted its 1st Summer Camp -2011 at their hotel premises, under the able guidance of Tulika Hazarika, Director Operations, along with the full support of the hotel staff. The Camp was well attended by a large number of children aged between 6 years to 11 years, from across the city. The camp had organized a number of useful activities such as memory games, handwriting , along with some other useful activities such as , swimming (in the hotel swimming pool), painting, crafts, yoga, cooking demonstration- by Chef Mukherjee ,Quiz etc for the children. After the cooking demonstration the children had a gala time making sandwiches on their own.
The summer camp concluded with much fun-fare on the 11th July 2011.A fancy dress competition was organized on the last day, the children looked angelic in different colorful attires. A magic show was organized for the children. The children were also given an opportunity to display their latent talents to a receptive audience.
Yoga classes on all days of the camp helped them to understand the benefits of exercise in our daily lives. A number of colorful prizes were given out to the winning participants in various categories like handwriting, fancy dress, quiz and memory games. The summer camp was co-ordinated by Nisha and Reema Barua.
The Managing Director of Hotel Gateway Grandeur, Mriganka Hazarika said, that, “he was very happy to host the Summer Camp for the children at the hotel, and thanked the children for taking time off to be present in the camp. He thanked the parents for their active support in making this camp a huge success. Such activities he hoped would help build confidence and enrich their lives as they grew up. He hoped that this would become an annual event, and took this opportunity to announce the opening of a Childrens Club at Hotel Gateway Grandeur very shortly”.
