Pointing out that people in the society were often individualistic, S Khutolu Wotsa, chief guest of 49th Annual Session of Philimi Students’ Union (PSU) today underscored the need for supporting and uplifting each other if the society had to positively progress in unity.

Quoting an anonymous speaker, Khutolu emphasized on the meaningful statement, “Education is Wisdom’s helper.” He said no matter the degree or qualification one had, it would be rendered less useful if wisdom was to remain void from the degree holder.

He asked the students to actively play their part along with village leaders, church leaders and social leaders. He also encouraged the village members inhabiting various towns to excel in their own fields and bring laurels to the village. Kukamis (GBs) of Philimi village, Pitovi and Vilhozu Wotsa also addressed the gathering. The chief guest who was accompanied by a host of officers and elders later declared the games and sports session open.
