Surprise check to be held in Kiphire offices

Kiphire, March 9 (DIPR): Kiphire DPDB meeting for the month of March 2014 was held on March 5 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Secretary Excise, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection, Statistics and Chairman DPDB, T. Torechu.

The chairman welcomed the new DC Kiphire, Neposo Theluo on behalf of DPDB members and advised him to have a strong heart to cope up with the situations of the district. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the board members were informed to submit departmental profile and achievements made during current year to the DPO along with photographs of achievements, works and profiles which would be published in a booklet.

The Deputy Commissioner in his first address thanked the chairman for his advice and encouragement and sought the co-operation and support of various NGOs and officers. Taking the present posting as an opportunity to serve the remote district, Neposo pointed out that one’s services could be delivered in such places, which may not be required in the other advanced districts. He reminded the members not to consider DPDB as a routine meeting, but asked them to participate actively and put forward valuable suggestions.
He informed the board that all heads of departments are to be present regularly in the station and added that surprise checking in offices would be conducted. Deputy Commissioner also requested both elected members to pursue for opening of offices to the district since most of the departments are yet to be opened. '
With Lok Sabha election approaching, he also sought the cooperation of the officers. He further requested the Parliamentary Secretary, Power to ask every department to submit the incumbent list of staffing pattern on or before March 15, 2014.

The agendas discussed included construction of drainage cum black topping at fire station road which has been forwarded to Urban Development for provision of fund. Renovation and refurnishing of GA rest house was entrusted to PWD to work out estimates for onward mobilization of funds. Construction of rostrum at Seyochung Town public ground was discussed to be forwarded to the youth resources and sports department for necessary funding. The board was informed on the government order on recognition of the following villages under Kiphire district: Thuliin Village, Cidevong Village, Mongtsuwong village, Vongva village, Tsuther village, Jenty village, Litsaoung village, Tsurevong village, Azetso Village and Khongsa village.
