Kohima, January 30 (DIPR): DC & DEO Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS has officially launched the SVEEP Mobile Van and District SVEEP Election Anthem at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima on January 29.
Launching the programme, the DC & DEO said that the mean objective of the launching was to spread awareness about the election process by demonstrating on EVM and VVPET and distributing the related election posters. He said that the intention was to reach out the citizen and grass root level to clarify their doubts on election process and to spread awareness on clean election for the forthcoming election. He also stated that there are ranges of activities under SVEEP where the launching of this programme was a part of the activities. He said that to strengthen and supplement the ongoing activities under SVEEP, the programme of this launching was initiated and further urged every individual to spread the message in their respective areas. ADC & RO Kohima, T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir, who chaired the programme, also informed that the district administration has arranged two Mobile Van, which will visit all the seven Assembly Constituencies under Kohima District spreading awareness on election process by playing the district election anthem and disseminating information on related election matters.
The composer of the District SVEEP Election Anthem, Methaneilie who is also a renowned singer, in his short speech appreciated the district administration for initiating such programme for clean election. He hoped that through the anthem, the message on clean election would reach every individual for better result in the coming election and further assured to extend his support and blessing in this endeavour. Methaneilie also presented the District SVEEP Election Anthem in Tenyidie and Nagamese which was composed by him during the launching programme.
Assistant Election Officer, Kohima, Toshimeren Aier in his introductory speech said that as part of SVEEP activities the programme of launching SVEEP Mobile Van and SVEEP District Anthem has been initiated. He said the mean idea of launching was to spread awareness about the election process and to have clean election.
