Kiphire, February 21 (MExN): The Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland, under its Skilling Nagaland initiative, is currently conducting a three-day audio management workshop in Kiphire from February 20 to 22. The workshop aims to equip stakeholders with essential technical skills in live sound management through both theoretical insights and practical hands-on training, stated a press release issued by Media Officer, TaFMA.
The inaugural session was graced by Senti Longchar, DHO Kiphire, as the special guest. The event was facilitated by Albert Jingrü, Director, StarGazer Events, and commenced with an invocation by Setsiba, Pastor, South Zone KTBL. The welcome address was delivered by Leochum Thonger, TaFMA District Partner. A speech was also delivered by the Guest of Honour, in which he emphasized the importance of the training and urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to enhance their skills. He also commended TaFMA for its dedication to empowering individuals in the field of music and arts through such initiatives.
This workshop is part of TaFMA’s larger vision to strengthen the creative ecosystem of Nagaland. Similar workshops have already been conducted in five districts—Tseminyu, Niuland, Chümoukedima, Noklak, and Shamator—benefiting 175 enthusiastic trainees. This February, workshops will also be held in Phek and Meluri, while for the remaining eight districts it will be in the coming months.
