‘Take it Easy’ & don’t turn it into ‘Manic Monday’: Dimapur Police ‘online request’ to public

Dimapur | August 3

With Dimapur preparing for partial reopening after a week of total lockdown on Monday and anticipating a heavy rush, the Dimapur Police went retro and belted out a unique message urging the public not rush into shops or other activities – through song titles.  Taking to Twitter on the eve of the scheduled opening, the Dimapur police asked the public ‘To take it easy’ and not to turn the day into a ‘Manic Monday.’ “As the town partially re-opens from tomorrow we urge all, not to rush out for basic shopping at one. As the song goes #Take_it_Easy lest you want to turn it into another #Manic_Monday,” the official handle of the city police said.

For the uninitiated, ‘Take It Easy’ is the first single chart topper by American rock band Eagles released in 1972. ‘Manic Monday’ is a hit single by the all-female American pop rock band The Bangles from their second studio album, ‘Different Light’ released in 1986.  Both singles are in the favourite ‘listening list’ of many in the State.
